Oh My Green Goodness!

Grant, a good buddy of mine, is a traveling salesman for Bolthouse Farms a 4th generation family farm, located in California's fertile San Joaquin Valley. Mostly known for their carrots, Bolthouse Farms is also packing big punches in the health drink arena. They have four drinks that are 100% all natural juice: Carrot, Valencia Orange, Passion, and the new and improved Vedge; three smoothie drinks: Green Goodness, Strawberry banana, and Berry Boost; one protein drink: Perfectly Protein; and one lemonade: Mango Lemonade.

While I like them all, this post is about my new favorite: Green Goodness. I haven't had anything like it...ever. For one-it really is green, and being that it's a smoothie it's thick and soupy. But boy, it's good.

Green Goodness starts with incredibly nutritious things like wheat grass, spirulina, spinach - even blue-green algae. Then they make it as delicious as it is healthy by adding apples, kiwis, mangos, bananas, pineapples and star fruit. It is a good source of iron and vitamin B6, naturally rich in vitamins A, C, and B12 (to keep those pesky mosquitos away), and packed with powerful phytonutrients found in nature's most nutritious greens.

So next time you're at Publix pick up a bottle and give it a try. It's a better way to eat your greens.
